Change Starts With Us 3
In support of this year’s theme ‘‘Change Starts With Us’, we plan to organise and deliver an intergenerational session for mixed age groups to showcase different cultures, social lives and the environmental challenges we are all facing around the world.
The event will consist of workshops led by environmental organisations to discuss key areas including the importance of reducing waste and recycling in the move towards a circular economy. There will also be small talks and question/answer sessions about various cultures and societies across different parts of the world as well some information on how we can reduce the impact of climate change for a healthy future. This will allow our young people to learn how to break down the social and environmental barriers in everyday life helping unite communities.
We will showcase a small exhibition about Indian and Chinese heritage and local art /crafts. There will be an information and question/answer session about different societies in other parts of the world and what environmental issues they are facing and how they are resolving them for better future. In-depth information regarding Indian and Chinese heritage /culture / languages/ believes / histories / environmental issues /social life will be explored as well as an art/crafts session.
