The Columba Heritage Trail- a guided tour

The Columba Heritage trail – a guided tour links the walled city of Londonderry with the monastic city of Derry.

It celebrates the Christian Heritage of the city with visual arts including a sculpture of the Saint, by artist Niall Bruton and bronze sculptures by Eleanor Wheeler.

The trail seeks to provide a platform to invite the citizens of this wonderful city to come together to explore their respective heritages.

The guided tour will begin at “Café in the park” at St Columbs House in St Columbs Park at 2pm and will begin with some light refreshments. The tour will start viewing the public artworks and before proceeding to view St Brecan’s church (Derry/Londonderrys only surviving medieval church) and other main points of interest including the Peace Bridge, Guildhall and four of Derry/Londonderry’s main churches.

The Churches Trust will host a guided tour of The Columba Heritage Trail at 2pm on Wednesday the 21st of September.
