The Timorese Association Inclusive Support (TAIS) Community Football Project

The Timorese Association Inclusive Support (TAIS) uses the power of football to ensure that ‘Change Starts With Us’ as it helps Timorese people integrate within communities across Mid Ulster. The community football project helps the local Timorese break down barriers with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Good Relations Week 2022 is running until Monday 26th September with a colourful programme of over 250 community focused events across the region based on the ‘Change Starts with Us’ theme.

International Big Breakfast

Radius Housing in partnership with Apex Housing are hosting live cultural performances on stage at Ranfurley House, Dungannon. Food will be available from 10 different  cultures and performances will consist of cultures from around the world who call NI home including; East Timor, Mexican, Chinese, Irish and Ulster Scots.

Dr Alan Parkinson is a political historian and author. Belfast-born, he is a former Senior Lecturer at London Southbank University and has written numerous books on Modern Irish History including his latest work, A Difficult Birth: The Early Years of Northern Ireland 1920-25 (Eastwood-Dublin)

Dr Éamon Phoenix in conjunction with Ann Donnelly of Northern Ireland Screen: ‘Partition and the Birth of Northern Ireland 1920-21: The Story from the Newsreels’

Dr Éamon Phoenix is a political historian, author and broadcaster. He is member of the Irish Government’s Expert Advisory Group on Centenaries. He is the author of Northern Nationalism 1890-1940 and Conflicts in the North of Ireland,  1900-2000. and writes a daily column for the Irish News.
