The Felden Family Cultural and Arts Event will be taking place on be taking place in Clanmils Felden development, which is part of the DfC Housing for All /Tbuc initiative.

Felden Family Cultural and Arts Event will focus on the dance, music, crafts and cuisine of diverse cultures and nationalities including Indian, Chinese, Polish, Ulster Scots and Irish cultures.  Objectives of the event are to celebrate cultural diversity through music, food, and dance.

The overall initiative is part of the Department for Communities Housing for All strategy for Northern Ireland. The Family Culture and Arts Event will assist in promoting the traditions and cultures of diverse communities whilst increasing levels of understanding of other cultures amongst Felden residents.

The event will also bring about increased levels of participation from Felden residents, including families from ethnic minority groups, and create opportunities for residents to socialise together in an informal, friendly setting. Opportunities for inter-generational mixing will also be achieved.
