Gone Fishing

Written by Eavann Mallon

Directed by Hannah Reilly.

“There’s comfort in the routine of a game of cards – one set of rules, one winner, one outcome. And yet when Nathan returns from a day out fishing with his friends, there’s something haunting about the way his girlfriend Ria and her cousin Sophie are engaged in their card game. As Nathan attempts to figure out what is going on, the conversation turns to what it means to be proud of where you come from and what the future will hold for these 3 individuals living in a place where unrest continually bubbles just below the surface.”

‘Gone fishing’ analyses what it means to be a young adult living in a country littered with riots and how does living in a country full of different nationalities impact our identity.
