Housing Made Simple. Your Guide to Social Housing.
As part of Good Relations week, Belfast Social Housing Working Group are launching a new, accessible leaflet designed to demystify social housing. Sparked by community consultation this initiative responds to a clear need: reliable, easy-to-understand information about housing options and information.
Donegall Pass Community Enterprises in partnership with Greater Village Regeneration Trust, South Belfast Alternatives, Belfast South Community Resources, Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Queens University Streetspace and Ark, and Woven Housing Associations co-created a resource that puts facts first.
This one page flyer breaks down the social housing selection scheme, explains how points and allocations work and offers information on applications, exchanges, and transfers. It’s a tool for empowerment, giving people the knowledge they need to get on the list and get pointed correctly.
The launch will be followed by two further community events promoting the flyer. These will be held in Donegall Road and Sandy Row respectively.
Let’s connect, celebrate collaboration, transparency, and a shared commitment to housing solutions.
