In the Margins – serving the least among us

As part of Good Relations Week, In The Nations Ministries will be hosting a multicultural celebration for 30 refugee women plus 30 children on the 24th September from 1-4pm. Many of these refugee women living in north Belfast are single mothers who are newcomers to the city.
A good percentage of them have experienced major challenges in making their way to Northern Ireland and have been victims of people trafficking, domestic violence with many struggling with their mental health and wellbeing.
We want to host a fun, interactive afternoon which will provide these women with the opportunity to come together and celebrate their home cultures and involve local community members from surrounding Churches and community groups to join us.
This will enable the women to make new friends and be introduced to their neighbours in the surrounding area.
It will also provide local community groups with the opportunity to send representatives who can showcase their services and enhance better community relations.
