Pathways to Peace – Portadown Walking Tour
Walking tour of Portadown, bringing young people across the interface and visiting areas of their town they have never been before.
Young people will see areas of division and contested spaces, reflecting on the relevance of these contested spaces today, and highlighting the importance of the shared spaces that exist
The young people participating will be from different community backgrounds (PUL, CNR and BME), they will be visiting areas of the town they may not have been before and crossing the interface together. Through this walking tour we will identify key areas of division in the town, such as the peace walls, flags, murals, bonfire sites and marching routes, helping young people understand the significance of these and reflect on the relevance of these contested spaces today.
