PeacePlayers Good Relations Coach Induction Day

The induction event is part of a wider week-long programme running from the 16th to the 22nd of September 2024, to celebrate our belief in the power of good relations through sports.  These sessions are designed to equip coaches with the tools and knowledge necessary to foster unity and understanding among young people from diverse backgrounds. By integrating the principles of peacebuilding into sports, we aim to demonstrate how athletic activities can be a powerful medium for breaking down barriers and building lasting connections in communities that have been historically divided.

The training sessions will not only enhance the skills of our coaches but also deepen their understanding of how sports can be used as a vehicle for promoting good relations. Through these sessions, we are reinforcing our commitment to creating safe and inclusive spaces where young people can come together, regardless of their cultural or religious backgrounds. By aligning these training opportunities with Good Relations Week, we are highlighting the significant role that sports play in our broader efforts to build peace and foster positive relationships across Northern Ireland.
