The Sekules Family Story

The Sekules family came to live in NI in 1947, having survived the Holocaust in Siberia. Edith Sekules went on to establish Kilkeel Knitting Mills, where they often employed up to a hundred women. They contributed to the prosperity of the society and connected people from both sides of the community.
Csilla Toldy, worked with Walter Sekules on her book Enemy Alien, describing the long journey from Siberia to Kilkeel. She will be talking to Esther Sekules about the factory.
We welcome people from the community, who knew the family, or worked in the Mill, to come along, share stories and reminisce.
