Youth Matters Belfast

Forthspring Inter Community Group and Belfast Multi-Cultural Association will host a Youth workshop exploring the issues and challenges young people face in Belfast growing up – including “ISM’s” and “Phobia’s” as well as the positive things about an increasing multi-cultural Belfast.

Cultural Festival

This free, family friendly festival will celebrate the diversity of culture in South and East Belfast by showcasing art, music and food from new communities.

There will be performances throughout the afternoon along with workshops, crafts and food samples.

LINCS is a citywide programme that provides meaningful good relations activities designed to foster inclusion between Protestants, Catholics and BAME communities.

Meet the Author & Q&A Dialogue – ‘Guard Your Heart’

The workshop will be facilitated by Sue Divin, author of the book, ‘Guard Your Heart’.   Through dialogue, participants will explore themes such as legacy, segregation, stereotypes and prejudice and reflect on how adults play an important role in defining today’s narrative and shaping a brighter future for young people.

Participants will meet people from other faith traditions and communities and recognise the role they play in improving attitudes among young people.  They will learn to shape a narrative that will encourage building positive relationships between young people of different faith and community backgrounds.

BCRC Civic Youth Voice Graphic Design Workshop

BCRC  presents craft based workshop offering young members of BCRC Civic Youth Voice the opportunity to come together to develop and design a logo that will represent the BCRC Civic Youth Voice going forward.

This event is in partnership with Courthouse Project Bushmills.

Members are representative of young people across Causeway Coast and Glens and are focused on working collectively, across communities to raise awareness of issues affecting young people today.

Our Journey, Our Lives, Our Cultures

Multi-Ethnic Sports & Cultures NI will host a series of workshops aimed to give children and youth from diverse communities a better understanding of racism, sectarianism and prejudice and ways to tackle these. This will conclude with a cultural celebration highlighting the cultural vibrancy of Northern Ireland with food, drinks, music and activities from all cultural backgrounds.

GOGA Fit Banbridge

As part of Good Relations Week 2021, GOGA Fit Banbridge will be taking place on Friday. A low-intensity fitness programme aimed at people with health conditions, disabled people, older people and those interested in becoming more active, more often.

This class forms part of the GOGA In Action programme funded by Live Active NI and Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.

 

Tai Chi For Health – Richhill

As part of Good Relations Week 2021, GOGA will hosting Tai Chi For Health at Richill Recreation Centre. Come along and improve your strength, balance, flexibility and coordination through a series of low impact Tai Chi exercises that are excellent for relaxation.

This class forms part of the GOGA In Action programme funded by Live Active NI and Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.

GOGA Buggy Fit

As part of Good Relations Week 2021, GOGA will be hosting ‘Buggy Fit’, a moderate intensity fitness class giving new mums the opportunity to Get Out and Get Active in a relaxed and social environment.
