Future Leaders, Future Ambitions

Future Leaders, Future Ambitions is a panel discussion comprised of past and present participants of the Future Leaders Programme.

Bringing a diverse range of opinions and voices together, participants will discuss their aspirations and ambitions for the future of community work and peacebuilding activities in the North-West.

Taste the World Cookery Course

Taste the world offers online cookery demonstrations for 1 hour x 4 weeks (commencing 21 Sep), exploring Indian, Chinese, Polish and Iranian cuisines.

Those completing the 4-week course will later receive a free “Make it at Home Kit” which will include key dry ingredients and recipe cards to recreate the dishes at home.

Food can be a vehicle for sharing culture, stories, and traditions with people from different backgrounds, and enables a greater cultural understanding. Through the medium of food stories and cookery demonstrations from 4 different cultures, facilitators will create a space for participants to gain and share knowledge, empowering people to learn from others, better understand different cultures, and eat well.

Human Rights Team

Join in on this online NI Sports and Human Rights Forum meeting who will be speaking with all major sports and community groups.

Ashfield Boys High School will be running a Human Rights workshop and students from Queens University will be promoting a Climate video.

A Shared History of Border Areas – Newry, Mourne & Down District Council

As part of Good Relations Week 2021, this event will provide an opportunity to bring women from different communities together to take part in a presentation and a brief discussion about living in border areas. Participants will have an opportunity to share their own stories about living in border counties, the challenges they faced, the contributions made, as well as reflect on ways they can continue to build positive and sustainable relationships with other communities.

The event will promote good relations by bringing women from different backgrounds together to share experiences and celebrate positive changes their contributions have made, and encourage ways to continue to build positive and sustainable relationships with other communities.

This event is in person, however can also be joined virtually.
