Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council is teaming up with Carryduff Primary School for a vibrant “park classroom” experience. Pupils will swap desks for the outdoors, exploring art, storytelling, and hands-on environmental activities in their local green space. Inspiring the next generation to care for people, place, and planet.

In partnership with the Women’s Spaces Project, this one-day gathering will explore women’s leadership, care, and peacebuilding, guided by the Pillars for Peace toolkit and rooted in lived experience. A gentle wellness element will support reflection and balance, while a complimentary lunch provides space for meaningful connections and networking. Join a supportive, inspiring network of women shaping positive change in their communities.

Closed project – invited participants only This intergenerational project brings older and younger voices together through a series of facilitated conversations. Participants will share stories and lived experiences on themes of identity, belonging, and community life. Discussions will be recorded in a podcast-style format, preserving voices and insights for the future.

Join us for a powerful evening with The Breadwinner, the Academy Award–nominated animated film based on Deborah Ellis’ best-selling novel. Set in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, it follows Parvana, an 11-year-old girl who disguises herself as a boy to support her family. Her journey highlights themes of resilience, gender equality, conflict, and the right to education. Part of the Common Ground series – cultural events that spark dialogue and understanding.

Programme includes a guided photowalk through Wallace Park and a shared lunch. Build new creative skills, capture community life, and have your work showcased during Good Relations Week 2025.
