"Different Ball, Same Goal" sports sessions for pupils in Post Primary schools, exploring diverse sporting heritage traditions.

Join us for an action-packed Good Relations Week 2025 event as the Irish Football Association (IFA) and Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council team up to host a five-a-side football tournament promoting integration, inclusion, and community spirit. This fun and friendly competition will see players from all backgrounds come together on the pitch to build connections and celebrate diversity through sport. Whether you’re taking part or cheering from the sidelines, this event is a great opportunity to enjoy football, meet new people, and support good relations across our borough.

The Let’s Connect Championships is a 5-a-side football tournament hosted by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council in partnership with the Irish Football Association.

Through the Housing for All Programme, the associations are lending their support to the IFA’s Inclusion and Disability Football Programme - proving that when it comes to inclusion, we’re all on the same team. The partnership will be officially launched at Avoneil Leisure Centre during Good Relations Week, with backing from the Community Relations Council.
