Most questions are answered below — it is often quicker than waiting on us.

So we can reply.

Only if you would rather we rang you than emailed.

The more you can tell us, the more useful our first reply will be.

We use what you send here only to reply to you. See the privacy notice.

Common questions

If your question is here, you have your answer without waiting for a reply.

How do I add an event to the programme?
You do not need to email us. Register it here — it takes about eight minutes, it saves as you type, and it comes straight to our team for approval. A person reads every one, so how long you wait depends on how many are ahead of yours — days some weeks, longer near the deadline. You will hear back either way.
I have already submitted an event and need to change something
Sign in and edit it yourself — no need to ask, and that includes after it has been approved. Cancelling one date of a multi-date event is a single click: the event stays in the programme and that date is marked as cancelled.
I started a submission and never finished it
It is still there. Nothing is lost when you close the tab — everything saves as you type. Sign in with the same email address and it will be waiting where you left it.
Does my event count as a Good Relations Week event?
If it brings people together who might not otherwise meet, it counts. A workshop, a walk, a shared meal, an exhibition, a conversation over tea — the programme is built from whatever groups decide to run. If you are genuinely unsure, ask us rather than deciding not to.
Can I get funding to run my event?
The Community Relations and Cultural Diversity scheme can help with room hire, materials, transport and refreshments. It is run by CRC directly rather than by the Good Relations Week team — see the funding scheme.
What happens after I submit?
Our team reads every event. If something is missing we will tell you what and send it back so you can fix it — being sent back is not the end of it. Once approved, your event appears in the programme and is promoted across the website, our social channels and partner networks.
I submitted an event and have not heard anything
That is usually just the queue. Every event is read by a person, and how long that takes depends on how many are ahead of yours — quiet weeks it is days, and in the run-up to the deadline it can be several weeks. Waiting does not count against you and it does not affect whether your event gets in. You can keep editing it while you wait, and if you would rather ask than wonder, send us a message.
Have I missed the deadline?
The current deadline is always at the top of the get involved page, and we say so there if it has been extended. If it has genuinely passed, email us anyway — we would rather hear from you than have you assume the answer is no.
