Working together towards a common goal improves relations between all residents - young and old and people of different beliefs and backgrounds and promotes an inclusive community. The street party cultivates a sense of pride in community whilst empowering residents to take responsibility and ownership of their community. It also provides them with a sense of leadership and educational opportunities and promotes emotional health and well-being.
