A place at peace? Critical conversations about dis-placement in Derry Londonderry Niall Gilmartin's newly published research and book explores the overlooked stories of individuals forced from their homes during the recent conflict in and about Northern Ireland and provokes us to consider the important questions about how as a society we can acknowledge and address the harms and losses caused by displacement. This public event seeks to examine creative and meaningful ways that displacement in Derry Londonderry can be addressed. Alongside Dr Gilmartin, a community panel will share personal stories and insights around the harms caused and loss experienced as a result of both past and more current forms of displacement. Community participation is welcomed.

The event will be Chaired by Diane Greer, and has been organised by The Junction in collaboration with Cultúrlann Ui Chanáin and Ulster University.

Everyone is welcome to this free event.
