This interactive ‘Democracy Day’ event at Parliament Buildings, to grow understanding, confidence and participation in the political system. The day hopes to encourage democratic participation by members of migrant and minority ethnic communities in Northern Ireland, specifically through:
• encouraging voter registration
• encouraging voting in elections
• encouraging interested people to stand for election in local council, Assembly, Westminster elections
• encouraging participation in political parties
