Springboard’s Common Ground event celebrates Good Relations Week by uniting young people from diverse backgrounds for creative activities, dialogue, and reflection on building a more inclusive, connected, and peaceful society.
Common Ground is a youth-led event created by Springboard participants. Young people attending will engage in a wide range of immersive and interactive activities designed to celebrate diversity and promote positive leadership.
Hosted in Springboards Belfast City Centre location, the event brings young people together for a variety of creative experiences where they can explore what connection means between individuals, communities, cultures, and the environment.
Young people will enjoy a range of engaging stalls and activities, including:
- A collaborative art station where participants will build connection through creativity
- A story-sharing space led by young people from a wide range of backgrounds, offering insight into lived experiences and encouraging dialogue
- An environmental workshop, where participants will plant seedlings to be used in a shared garden, symbolising growth and care for the planet
- A cinema space showcasing Springboards innovative peacebuilding work across communities
- A music station featuring music created by the young people from differing backgrounds
- Interactive discussion boards exploring how the themes of people, planet and prosperity relate to good relations and community life
