Monday 12th October 4pm Theres A Place For Everyone – All Abilities. Inclusion for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) means making sure they participate, learn, play, and feel that they belong alongside other young people, with the support provided that they need. The aim is not simply to place a young person in a mainstream setting, but to make sure they are genuinely included, supported, valued, and able to participate. KYC staff, volunteers and senior members to lead.
Tuesday 13th October 6pm A Belonging Wall “I feel included when…” and a short video/photo booth: “Everyone belongs because…” Creative workshops, design a Good Relations Week badge to be 3D printed at KYC and distributed to ALL & a graffiti-style collaborative mural; Each family chooses one small action that will make someone else feel included during the week.
Wednesday 14th October 6pm Empathy & Inclusion Accessibility Challenge – explore how environments can unintentionally exclude people.
