This event follows up on our recent research project- Rethinking Community Relations* .

The racist riots and violence in early summer raised disturbing questions . Daily reports of ongoing threats to minority communities profoundly narrowed the boundaries of belonging towards exclusion. The facilitated conversation will challenge us to begin to think as Christians to think beyond our walls to improve relations with minority faith and ethnic groups in our community. How can understanding , awareness and dialogue enable a building of trust and reduce racism and sectarianism? PETER TATE is Programme Manger for Belfast Peaceplus Interfaith and Belief Project, and LYNDA GOULD was the NICA Faith Project Co-ordinator. The evening will provide a safe space to listen, avoid soundbites, and engage with authentic stories in a meaningful faith filled conversation.
