Beyond the Uniform Photo Exhibition

What do you see when you look at a band uniform? Beyond the Uniform invites you to look again, meet the people behind the uniform and discover their stories, lives, contributions, friendships and the role music and belonging play in their communities.

Beyond the Uniform: Stories of Belonging, presented by the Londonderry Bands Forum, is a photographic and storytelling exhibition exploring the people behind the band uniform. Featuring personal stories and portraits of current and former band members, the exhibition looks beyond first impressions to discover the different lives, careers, talents, friendships and contributions these individuals bring to their families and communities.

Visitors are invited to meet the people behind the uniform and hear how music and banding have provided friendship, confidence, opportunities, relaxation and a sense of belonging. The exhibition is open to everyone and no prior knowledge of bands or music is required
