A community litter pick at Portstewart Strand as part of Good Relations Week, bringing local people together to improve the environment, build community connections and promote shared responsibility for the local area.
The Community Litter Pick is being delivered as part of Good Relations Week by Portstewart Community Association in partnership with Radius. The event will bring local people together at Portstewart Strand to work towards a shared environmental goal while building positive community connections.
Participants will take part in a collaborative litter pick, helping to improve the local environment and encourage a shared sense of pride and ownership within the community. The event is expected to bring together approximately 60 participants from a range of backgrounds, working side-by-side to create a cleaner and more welcoming local area.
Following the litter pick, participants will have the opportunity to come together for refreshments and informal networking, providing further opportunities for conversation, relationship building and community engagement.
The project aims to strengthen community cohesion, promote environmental responsibility and support the development of a sustainable, resident-led initiative that will continue to benefit the local area beyond Good Relations Week.
