Meeting, Mapping, Moving - Ballymena Recovering The Meet, Map, Move, collaborative process was brought to life by Ballymena community members, community and statutory agencies, and frontline workers to do three things: meet honestly, map the situation cl
The public disorder that erupted in Ballymena in June 2025 saw our communities struggle with fear, trauma and upheaval, as well as a profound sense of loss felt by so many – those who fled, those who stayed, and those who tried to hold things together when the town was at its most fragile.
The Meet, Map, Move, collaborative process was brought to life by Ballymena community members, community and statutory agencies, and frontline workers to do three things: meet honestly, map the situation clearly, and continue moving towards recovery together.
This report seeks to set out what was heard, what it means, and what could happen next.
Participants, partners and collaborators, whose words, thoughts and hopes fill the pages of the report, will be with us on the day.
Alongside them, and there to support the process, will be those who helped facilitate it – Radius Housing, the Housing Executive, Rural Community Network and Involve.
