Neurodiversity in the Workplace

Run by NICVA

For NICVA members: a free, practical session with Employers for Disability NI on how organisations can create more inclusive and supportive workplaces for neurodivergent employees.

This event is only available to NICVA members.

NICVA is pleased to bring you this session in partnership with Employers for Disability NI (EFDNI).

Neurodivergent people bring valuable skills, strengths and perspectives to the workplace. However, traditional recruitment processes, working practices and workplace environments can create unnecessary barriers.

Join NICVA and Employers for Disability NI for this practical session exploring neurodiversity in the workplace and how organisations can create more inclusive and supportive environments for neurodivergent employees. Employers for Disability NI is the only Northern Ireland-based employer organisation dedicated to promoting Disability Positive practice by supporting employers and disabled people.

The session will explore:

What neurodiversity means and why it matters in the workplace
The strengths and perspectives neurodivergent employees can bring
Common barriers within recruitment and day-to-day working practices
Practical ways to improve communication and workplace inclusion
Supporting individual needs and considering reasonable adjustments
Participants will leave with a better understanding of neurodiversity and practical ideas they can apply within their own organisations.

Please arrive from 9:30am for registration and refreshments. The session will begin promptly at 10:00am.

Full details and registration are on NICVA’s page for this session, which is kept up to date — use “Book a place” or “Find out more”.
