RNIB Awareness to Action: Understanding Sight Loss
As part of Good Relations Week 2026 and Blindness Awareness Month, join RNIB for an engaging and interactive awareness session designed to increase understanding of sight loss and promote more inclusive communities.
Led by people who are blind or partially sighted, the session offers first-hand insight into the realities of living with sight loss. Participants will learn about different types of visual impairment, explore practical ways to communicate confidently and respectfully, and gain an understanding of the barriers people with sight loss can face in everyday life.
The session will also include practical sighted-guiding activities, the opportunity to experience simulation glasses, and information on the support services available through RNIB.
