Careers West is back for its second year of providing young people with a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse range of companies and organisations to learn about the career pathways available to them.
Careers West is an inclusive careers exhibition bringing together young people, employers, education providers, training organisations, public bodies and community partners from across the west of Northern Ireland. Organised by the Strule Shared Education Campus Programme, the event aims to help post-primary pupils explore the wide range of opportunities available to them as they plan their future learning, training and career pathways.
Taking place during Good Relations Week, Careers West promotes the values of collaboration, inclusion and opportunity by creating meaningful connections between young people and organisations from a diverse range of sectors. Attendees have the opportunity to engage directly with employers and training providers, gain insight into different professions, and learn about the skills, qualifications and experience needed to succeed in today’s workplace.
The event supports shared education by bringing together pupils from different schools and backgrounds in a shared environment focused on aspiration, personal development and future success. By strengthening links between education, business and the wider community, Careers West helps inspire the next generation while contributing to a more connected, inclusive and prosperous society.
