Grand Choice

Run by Ark Housing Association

Lisburn North. Shortlisted groups will showcase their projects to members of the public as part of the Grand Choice Participatory Budgeting Project. Successful groups will be awarded up to £1,000.

Grand Choice is a Participatory Budgeting process which means that local people get to decide how public funds are used to address needs in their area. Community Planning Partners have pooled their resources to fund community projects.

Communities can apply for up to £1000 for a project they think will benefit their area – and best of all, it is the local residents who decide which projects should go ahead.

Organized by LCCC, and supported by many community partners including Ark Housing.

Photography Exhibition - 'Acts of Becoming' by Rosy Martin

Martin’s work challenges what it means to become visible on one’s own terms. Her photographs do not present identity as settled or singular, instead, they reveal the self as layered, contradictory and continually changing.
