Ten community groups will showcase their projects and compete for £1,000 funding awards at this Participatory Budgeting Voting Night. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear presentations and vote on how community funding is allocated.
The Newcastle Participatory Budgeting Voting Night is being delivered in partnership by Radius, Ark, Arbour and Clanmil. This invitation-only event brings together community groups that have been shortlisted for Participatory Budgeting funding to present their project ideas and take part in the voting process.
Ten shortlisted community groups will showcase their projects and initiatives, giving attendees the opportunity to learn more about each proposal before casting their vote. Ten community groups will compete for funding awards of £1,000 each, supporting local programmes, events, workshops and activities that benefit the wider community.
Participatory Budgeting gives local people a direct role in deciding how funding is invested within their community. The event celebrates community-led action, partnership working and local decision-making, helping to strengthen community development, create new partnerships and support projects that will make a positive difference across Newcastle.
