A facilitated school workshop exploring identity, culture, inclusion and belonging through arts, mindfulness, storytelling and intercultural activities.
Roots of Belonging brings young people from Sperrin Integrated College, St Mary’s Grammar School and Kilronan School together to explore identity, culture, inclusion and belonging. This workshop is part of Connecting Minds Project’s wider Magherafelt programme involving nine schools.
Through arts, mindfulness, storytelling and intercultural activities, pupils will learn alongside migrant artists and refugee volunteers. Peace Ambassador training with Shared Education specialists will help young people develop the confidence to listen, work together and build positive relationships across their schools and communities.
This is an invitation-only event for the participating schools.
