Sew your own make up bag

Run by Sew Ready

Fancy coming along to make your very own makeup bag? Whether you’ve never touched a sewing machine before or just fancy giving sewing a go, we’d love you to join us!

Join us at Sew Ready for a relaxed and welcoming sewing workshop as part of Good Relations Week.

This session is perfect for anyone who is completely new to sewing or would like to feel a little more confident using a sewing machine.

During this two-hour workshop, we'll take our time getting to know the sewing machine and learning some useful skills while making a lovely little zipped cosmetic bag to take home.

We'll explore:
- How to follow a pattern
- Sew straight seams and neatly finish your stitching
- How to put your new skills into practice by making your own cosmetic bag

There will be plenty of time to practise, ask questions and learn at your own pace, with gentle guidance and support along the way.

At Sew Ready, we love how sewing brings people together. Our workshops offer a friendly, welcoming space where people of all backgrounds and abilities can come along, share skills, enjoy a conversation and get to know one another.

Whether you've always wanted to try sewing or are simply looking for a little time to yourself to learn something new, we'd love you to join us.

Date: Wednesday 15th
Time: 7pm–9pm
Age: Teens / Adults 14+
Experience: No previous sewing experience needed
Materials: All fabrics, materials and sewing machines will be provided.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided, with plenty of time for a cuppa and a chat.

We'd love you to come along, enjoy some sewing and leave with a little something you've made yourself.
