Schools, charities, community groups and businesses across Northern Ireland have until 5pm on Friday 2 October to register an event for Good Relations Week 2026.
Running from 12 to 18 October, the week will bring people together to share experiences, build understanding and address the divisions that still affect communities.
Organised by the Community Relations Council, Good Relations Week is one of Northern Ireland’s largest annual celebrations of peacebuilding and cultural diversity.
This year’s theme, ‘Include – Everyone. Everywhere. Every Day.’, invites organisations to show what inclusion looks like in practice. Events might explore identity, belonging, migration, shared spaces, racism or sectarianism.

Workshops, exhibitions, performances, sporting activities and conversations can all form part of the programme. Organisations can also register a suitable activity they already have planned. Events do not need to be large or open to the public.
Some of the most important work to bring people together happens quietly, in schools, community centres and shared spaces across Northern Ireland. Good Relations Week is an opportunity to give that work the recognition it deserves.
If you are helping people meet, understand one another or feel that they belong, we want your event in this year’s programme. Registration closes on Friday, and there is still time to take part.
Martin McDonald MBE, Chair of the Community Relations Council
Good Relations Week has been running for more than 20 years and provides an important platform for organisations and communities to showcase the work taking place throughout the year to strengthen relationships, celebrate diversity and create a more welcoming and shared society.
Inclusion becomes real when people are invited in, listened to and given the chance to take part. That can begin with something as simple as a conversation, a shared activity or a story that helps others see a different point of view.
We know this work is happening across Northern Ireland every day. Good Relations Week gives organisations a way to share it more widely, and I would encourage anyone with an activity planned for October to register it before Friday’s deadline.
Jacqueline Irwin, Chief Executive of the Community Relations Council
Good Relations Week 2026 is supported by The Executive Office and contributes to the delivery of the Together: Building a United Community Strategy.
