Run by Sanctuary Runners Belfast
Sanctuary Runners brings all nationalities together to walk or run at beautiful Ormeau parkrun in a spirit of friendship and respect. Everyone who comes along gets a free iconic blue t-shirt. We meet weekly with refreshments on the first Sat of the month.
All you need to do is show up at the start of parkrun near the agility park and look for the blue t shirts. You will be welcomed, given a t shirt, a smile and an introduction to another Sanctuary Runner/walker. It's free. We're not a club but a group, so you can be a parkrun member/club member and a Sanctuary Runner.
We join Ormeau parkrun together, some walk, some run, it's really up to you. We're a friendly group with a mix of all nationalities, born and bred Belfast people, people who have moved from other countries living and working here and people who are seeking protection and refuge. It really is about getting to know people and getting some exercise too. That's a pretty positive combination. There are 43 groups across the island and growing. We hope to see you soon.
